Suzuki has been known as a top contender in saltwater applications across the world for years, but they are making an ever-increasing push in the freshwater market, specifically targeting bass boats. Suzuki is doubling down on this increasing market with the all new DF250ATSS.
The DF250ATSS is the first motor for their new Sports Series Bass Motors. Featuring Suzuki Prevision Control 1.0 (SPC) integration, a redesigned gear case, and a new eye-catching color scheme, these are bound to be a hot ticket. The motor will be available in either a matte black or white graphics to better pair with modern bass boats.
The DF250ATSS has a great look to it, but it is also feature rich. This is the first SS series outboard to be compatible with Suzuki Precision Control electronic shift and throttle system. It will also integrate with Suzuki’s Digital Pro-Pedal Foot Throttle.
The motor also features a new lower unit gear case which sports an asymmetrically designed skeg. The improved skeg design allows for increased steering stability as well as increase efficiency and performance. The DF250ATSS will be available in a 20” (L) shaft and 25” (XL) shaft length for many different boat styles. Alongside the DF250ATSS, Suzuki is also debuting a new 115 horsepower SS outboard in 2022.
